On this website, you can find more information on travelling to Portorož by different means of transport (by car, bus, train, or plane).

By car:
Portorož is connected with highways to all four neighbouring countries (Austria, Italy, Hungary, and Croatia). If you come by car, we offer free parking on a private parking lot behind the gate where you can leave your vehicle.
By train:

Avoid long travel on roads and being stuck in a jam. Take a train to Koper instead. The Koper train station is connected to the bus station, ensuring smooth transfers to local buses, taking you straight to Portorož and Piran. You can also rent a car or hail a taxi.
By plane:

Too far to journey by sea or land? Portorož and Piran are also accessible by air. The closest airport is Aerodrom Portorož, only 7km away from the main town centre, which is also suitable for smaller aircraft.
Denser areas are served by bigger international airports offering connections to most European destinations. The closest airports are Trieste Ronchi Airport (Trieste, Italy), which is only 80km away from Portorož. Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, the central airport of Slovenia, is only 140km away.
