The Aquarium Piran

In the Aquarium Piran, you can immerse yourself in the underwater world of the Northern Adriatic, and in the Archaeological Park San Simon, you can see what life in our area used to be in the past. In the Aquarium Piran, you will get to know the unique underwater world of the Northern Adriatic, which is home to about 140 different species of organisms, with fish being the most numerous.

You can see congers, moray eels and the curious dusky grouper in the holes of the rocky reef.

There are more than 60 different species to see, including schools of sea bass, mullet, bream, and other open sea fish, as well as coastal zone fish, like damselfish, dreamfish, brown meagres, seabreams, and many others.

While in the smaller aquariums you can admire different species of blennys, triplefins, wrasses, sea basses, gobies, and clingfishes.
Of course, you will be amazed by particular species such as seahorses, which from time to time fascinate us with their mating dance, and also common sharks and catsharks.
