1. When you arrive at the Student House Ljubljana, you’ll sign both documents that are stated in the contract (Authorization for Registration of Temporary Residence and Authorization for Deregistration of Temporary Residence). We will also sign the contract again in person.
2. We will go together to the police station. Why is this necessary? It is the standard procedure:
A foreigner staying in an accommodation facility and not having a residence permit in the Republic of Slovenia must be reported by the landlord to the police station in the area of accommodation within three days of crossing the state border or changing accommodation.
3. You must arrange a residence permit at the Administrative Unit (more information is available on the University of Ljubljana’s website).
4. When you receive your residence permit, you will inform us about it and send us your EMŠO number so we can register your temporary residence at the Administrative Unit (Upravna enota) at the house’s address.
If you’ve already received your EMŠO number before your arrival in Ljubljana, inform us about it, and we will write the EMŠO number on both forms (see number 1).
When you get your residence permit, you must go to the police station to deregister there.
The procedure upon your arrival in Ljubljana will be the same for all foreign students.
