By air:

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (abbreviated as LJU), located in Brnik near Ljubljana, is the country’s main airport that regularly serves 20 European cities, including all major hubs.

The airport can be reached with a 20-30-minute ride. You can choose between a bus, a shuttle (we suggest GoOpti or Markun shuttle), and a taxi to reach the city centre. The bus is the cheapest but not so frequent. The shuttle services are available upon exiting Terminal B (click here for more info).

Other airports

Another possibility is to fly to one of the airports just across the border (e.g. Trieste, Venice, Zagreb). Transport from these nearby airports is offered by several carriers, e.g. the shuttle service GoOpti or Markun shuttle.
